New on eresources@cambridge A-Z : the Duxiu database
The Duxiu database provides access to more than three million Chinese bibliographic entries and two million full text scholarly resources in all subjects and formats, such as books, journal articles, conference papers and video clips.
Duxiu covers Chinese publications from the early 1930s to the present. Johns Hoptkins University’s Sheridan Libraries Blog describes Duxiu thus:
“Duxiu … covers nearly all subjects, and includes books, journals, theses and dissertations, newspapers and more. All with powerful full text search capability. Duxiu’s digital book collection, in particular, covers nearly all the books published in mainland China both before and after the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. It is the largest digital library of Chinese books in the world.”
New contents are added monthly.
