You may have heard directly from Springer that they have deactivated their SpringerProtocols platform this week.
All of the SpringerProtocols content is already hosted on SpringerLink so there won’t be any disruption in accessing this content.
Springer are simply deactivating SpringerProtocols.com as they have developed a new and more advanced research solution Springer Nature Experiments.
Springer Nature Experiments is a free-to-use search tool that has been designed specifically to find and evaluate experimental procedures and where the whole search logic, filters and metrics are tailored for research protocols.
Once a user has identified a SpringerProtocols protocol in which they are interested in Experiments, they can simply click on Full text or Download and will be taken to the content on its native platform SpringerLink.
You can also access the SpringerProtocols.com deactivation FAQS here.
Access to the SpringerProtocols content on Springer Nature Experiments is provided for on and off campus users via the Cambridge LibGuides Databases A-Z link here:

Unfortunately links in iDiscover rely on Ex Libris updating their knowledgebase which they have not yet done. We have asked them to do this now, but until the changes are made, users linking via iDiscover records for the SpringerProtocols will be directed to the protocol on the SpringerLink platform (rather than on the Springer Nature Experiments platform).
