The University of Cambridge now has access to the Papers published by the Design Society.

The Design Society was founded in 2000, taking on the previous activities and responsibilities of the Workshop Design Konstruction (WDK) Society, especially the organisation of the International Conference on Engineering Design (ICED) series of conferences, which had been running since 1981. Since 2000 the Society has organised ICED conferences in Stockholm, Melbourne, Paris, Stanford, Copenhagen and Seul, with the 2015 event planned for Milan. It has also expanded with members from forty countries and with further very popular events such as the Engineering and Product Design Education conferences and the International Conference on Design Creativity among many other activities. The Design Society concentrates on activities that transcend national boundaries, and, where possible, will seek to complement national activities.

The Journal of the IASS welcomes contributions pertaining to the design, analysis, construction, and other aspects of the technology of all types of shell and spatial structures.  Papers describing realizations of noteworthy projects are particularly solicited.  All technical papers as well as those describing projects are open to written discussion, which will be published possibly together with a response from the author(s).

Also included are book reviews, reports of IASS Symposia and Colloquia and news of the Association.

The journal is published four times a year.

Now available to the University of Cambridge electronically from volume 37 (1996) to present.

Japan Science and Technology Agency

New on Swetswise Online Content platform: Japan Science and Technology Agency Open Access titles

As part of a pilot project Swets have made available the Open Access content published by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JSTA).

Swets has initiated this pilot project opening up full text access to all of the JSTA Open access titles, approx. 90 in total for all customers of Swets Online Content.

The Open Access titles can be searched via the Swetswise Online Content platform. Off Campus users should login using Shibboleth/Institutional login. A list of the JSTA titles in the pilot can be viewed here.
