“Arts & Sciences XII expands our coverage of the social sciences, and comprises disciplines with high usage and broad appeal.

Law, political science, and education content anchors the collection, and other titles in criminology and criminal justice, history,  social work, psychology, and sociology complement JSTOR’s offerings in the social sciences. Additional titles span African studies, Asian studies, language and literature, and Middle East studies.

The collection will feature a minimum of 125 titles at completion, and appeals to both the academic and practitioner audiences.”

PsycBOOKS is a full-text database that provides access to APA’s 3733 scholarly titles (55,598 chapters) within psychology and its sub-fields. It includes recently published APA content along with an expansive backfile that includes classic works dating back to the 17^th century. Its relevance to the present day along with a comprehensive view of the past makes PsycBOOKS a crucial research tool for the behavioral sciences.

As of July 2014, there are 3,914 Books and 48,303 Chapters in PsycBOOKS. The database and this list are updated monthly – see complete list.

 

New journal backfiles for the Biological Sciences

Cambridge University Library is delighted to announce the new acquisition of journal backfiles in the school of Biological Sciences. The titles are currently published by Wiley-Blackwell but were formerly published by Blackwell Publishing, University Presses, and institutes & associations of biological sciences.

The titles included in the Biological Sciences are grouped by the following areas:

Biology

Cell and Developmental Biology

Genetics and Evolution

Psychology

The links above contain lists of the titles available in each of the subject areas together with EZProxy (off and on campus) URLs for direct access to the titles.

Together these subjects offer backfiles for 192 ejournals.

All the titles are listed in the ejournals@cambridge A-Z and will be retrievable in Library Search by mid-November 2014.
